Outbound SMTP servers

Outbound e-mail has always been a problem at public Wi-Fi Hotspots. Certain e-mail providers don't let you send e-mail from outside of their network.

This is less of an issue now with more and more people using authenticated smtp. If you are having issues at a PolkaSpots Wireless Hotspot (or any Wi-Fi Hotspot), we can't provide you with an e-mail server (sorry, we don't know what you'd be sending).

However, we recommend you set up a Google Mail Account and use their smtp server with your existing account. Alternatively, migrate everything to their system and or shout at your e-mail provider and get them to update their system!

Don't worry, your emails will still look like their coming from your own address!
